Everyone who wants to lose some weight knows the fact that carbohydrates and fats play a huge role. However, weight gain is also a result of consuming too much sugar.
Nowadays, every food and drink we consume is loaded with sugar. Honey, raisins, fruit juices, fruits like mangoes and bananas are the perfect example for these types of foods.
Excessive sugar consumptions can lead to worse problems than weight gain. Heart issues, fatigue, depression, sleepiness, mental disorientation, hyperactivity, yeast infection, headaches and sinus issues are some of the consequences of excessive sugar intake. If excessive amounts of sugar are consumed, you will also increase the risk of heart diseases, diabetes and cancer.
How are sugar consumption and weight gain related?
The body needs sugar in order to function properly. However, the body only needs a small amount of sugar for energy. When we consume more than the normal amount, our body stores that in the form of fat. Fat on the face, hips, thighs and waist are some of the consequences of consuming excessive amount of sugar.
If you are addicted to eating sugar, it is hard to say no when somebody offers you a big chocolate cake. If you try to exclude sugar from your diet, you may experience headaches, sadness, fatigue and cravings for sugar. It is not wise to cut out all sugar products at the same time for that particular reason. You should act slowly and exclude the sugar product one by one.
